A large part of our Women’s Ministry at Columbia Baptist Church is Women On Mission (WOM).  Our goal is to enable every member of the church to learn about missions, become involved in missions, and live a missional lifestyle.  WOM frequently spearheads Operation Christmas Child, Angel Tree, and other ministries, as well as promoting the Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, and Eliza Broadus Offerings.  A group of women recently went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  WOM meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm in the Zion Room.

Encouragers is the perfect way to meet new ladies of Columbia Baptist Church and get involved in a wonderful support network.  Ladies of all ages are paired up to secretly support each other throughout the year.  Participants exchange prayers, cards, and gifts throughout the year to support each other in a way that builds a lasting and caring relationship.  “Prayed for daily, encoraged frequently, celebrated often and loved unconditionally.”

The Women’s Jail Ministry is a very important part of the CBC ministries. A group of ladies go to the Adair Co. jail each Thursday for devotions with the ladies. We also provide them with Discovery Bibles.  These Bibles are specifically designed for all who have addictions. They have become very helpful to the ladies in jail.  May CBC continue to value this outreach as we strive to provide spiritual guidance.

I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.  -Matthew 25:36
